The Sigma Delta Chapter was chartered April 30, 2000 on the campuses of Oregon State University and the University of Oregon with 13 members.

Since our charter in 2000, the Sigma Delta Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. has been Exemplifying Excellence on our campuses. We are a diverse group of women who value service, sisterhood and scholarship above all. You can find us in every academic department, as well as leaders of various student groups and programs. Sporting one of the highest GPAs of all recognized fraternities and sororities, we strive to live the values of our founders and charter members to set a dynamic legacy for the future of our chapter and Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.
